Biography
Kira Frolu attended the “Dinu Lipatti’ Music College before studying at the Purcell School for Young Musicians in London with William Fong, with whom she continued her Bachelor’s Studies at the Royal Academy of Music with a full entrance scholarship. Afterwards, she completed her Master’s Degree in Piano Performance with prof. Tessa Nicholson.
She is a laureate of Pianale Festival and Vladimir Krainev competitions and has been featured on BBC3. She performed solo recitals live-streamed on national Romanian Radio, and also at the World Music Expo in Cremona as part of the Fazioli Concert Series, Petworth Festival UK, the Fazioli Piano Factory in Sacile, Wigmore Hall, St. Martin in the Fields, St. James’ Piccadilly, Deal Festival, Milton Court, and the Romanian Atheneum and Radio Hall among others. She also performs regularly with orchestras, such as Transylvania Philharmonic, Cluj Philharmonic and National Radio Chamber Orchestra.
