
Biography
Herman Pellbäck was born in 2004 and started playing the piano at the age of 6. He is currently Artist-In-Residence at the Ingesund College of Music in Arvika, Sweden, where he studies with Prof. Julia Mustonen-Dahlkvist and Aristo Sham. In the journal International Piano, Herman was dubbed “The Swedish Wunderkind”, and featured alongside, among others, Federico Colli. Recent highlights have been performing Rachmaninov’s second piano concerto twice as the winner of “Bergslagssolisten” and Bach’s fifth keyboard concerto at the handing over of the presidency of the European Union.
Upcoming highlights include being reinvited to the Helsingborg Piano Festival where he will debut with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed many times for the Swedish royal family. Herman is among others the unanimous winner of the Nordic Junior Piano Competition. This previous March Herman competed in his first WFIMC level and Alink-Argerich registered competition; the Istanbul Orchestra Sion Competition.
