For one more year, the art-loving public of Thessaloniki will enjoy on stage the new generation of talented pianists from all over the world!

This year’s jury (Cyprien Katsaris, Pablo Galdo, George Konstantinidis, Klaus Sticken, Sergio Tiempo, Idith Zvi, Katarzyna Popowa Zydron) will benchmark creative excellence at this year “Giorgos Thymis” international piano competition. Our jury members play a pivotal role in recognising the world’s best, creative and talented pianists that will pave the way forward for the international piano community.

We’re extremely proud to be able to bring together a diverse group of individuals to reflect the evolving classical music landscape.

The Competition will be held from 12th to 20th of January 2023 and unfolds in three rounds. The preliminary and semifinal rounds are hosted at the rehearsal hall of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, and the final round at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall with the collaboration of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra.

The program and repertoire of each day will be shaped according to the outcome of the competition!
