Glenn Riddle was born in Melbourne. He is a pianist and conductor who studied at the Royal College of Music in London, the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna and the University of Melbourne where he completed his postgraduate diploma.

He is a holder of scholarships such as Horlock and Clarke, both Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Trust. He has been awarded the Ian Potter Foundation, John Allison (1982) and the National Yamaha Piano Competition (1986). Glenn Riddle is a lecturer at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and the University of Melbourne, teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
