Born in Thessaloniki, she studied the piano at the Thessaloniki State Conservatory. After acquiring hersoloist diploma she continued broadening her musical knowledge and repertoire near the French pianistBernard Ringeissen in Paris, specializing in French music. She regularly performs as a soloist withsymphonic orchestras, in solo piano recitals, and she also leads a very successful career in the domain ofchamber music, collaborating with awarded artists throughout Europe.
Marilena Liakopoulou has recorded for the greek and the french radio and television. Her repertoire coversan expanded range of classical and romantic solo piano works, concerts and chamber music, as well as alarge number of contemporary greek and international bearings, many of which were dedicated to her.
She is the Principal solo Pianist in the Thessaloniki State Orchestra since 1991. In parallel with her music career, she pursuit legal studies, obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Law and aMasters Degree in Art Law, specializing in Copyright, and Related Rights for music performers.
